I always thought he was guilty, but I heard a rundown recently, and he probably should get a new trial.

OK, to be clear, his conviction was affirmed. Only his sentence was thrown out and remanded for a new penalty phase hearing.

Yeah me too. Total scumbag, but little evidence he committed a murder.

I would say he is guilty, but since it was circumstantial I would have given him life. California spends a fortune on death row inmates and never executes them anyway.

He was guilty. Everybody KNEW he was guilty.

However, the state, in no way proved that in court.

The only question remaining is, where does justice lay?

I think a new trial may be warranted. And I think the risk of him going free is worth the preservation of legal process.

But it will never, ever happen.

Because everyone knows he is guilty.
