My bad! Apparently the jury is still out on just how a delayed election conclusion will be handled. According to Fact Check and Snopes and at least for this election, they say if there is no president declared and since Congressional House and Senate seats are also being voted on, that no Senator nor Representative who was running in said election will assume office until the National election is declared valid which has to involve declaring a presidential winner. Also, Congressional House and vacant Senate seat incomes will cease immediately on the day after the election in such a case. Seated Senators I assume will still receive their pay.
