You are so right. I noticed this part with interest:

***Cruz privately met with Kasich and declared, “Respectfully, you’re not going to win this nomination, and if you are really invested in preventing Donald Trump from being the Republican nominee, you need to drop out of this race. One of us has to, or he is on a glide path to the nomination.” Kasich told Cruz, “Ted, I am going all the way to the convention in Cleveland. Nothing you can say is going to change my mind about this.”

A few days later, Cruz lost the Indiana primary and decided to quit the race. One day later, contradicting what he had said in their private meeting, Kasich quit the race as well.***

When it was time for the Indiana primary that year, I remember that I was somewhat divided on who to vote for. I actually flipped a quarter, three times. It came up Cruz every time. Didn’t matter. My gut had a different decision and I voted for Trump. I have never regretted that vote.

My daughter once was a server at the Columbus Athletic Club in downtown Cbus. It was kind of an elbow-rubbing kind of place. She had just graduated college in June (2010) and was working there as she applied for her first “real” job. I remember that she remarked they polished the silver there every day. (I always polished the silver for my Mama when I went home once or twice a year.) Anyway, she had the occasion to serve Kasich at one of his campaign luncheons. She said he was a horse’s @ss to each and every one of the servers there. Her story stayed with me all these years. Oh yeah, that server that Kasich was rude to, she’s a neurophysiologist. Smart as a whip. Pretty sure she can run circles around the mailman’s son.

Scott Adams on his Periscopes occasionally talks about his father who had worked as a mail man. He refers to him as dumb.
