San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich once again used his press availability to launch into politics instead of basketball, as he heaped praise upon Austin, Texas, after their recent vote to defund the police. The coach then went on a rant about how “racist” Trump is because of what Popovich thinks is “voter suppression.”

Cops should refuse to do traffic, security, etc. for any sporting event.
Better yet, show up and stand around (why not let them still collect their pay).
DEFUND the NBA!
The NBA is defunding itself. Viewership is down 75% for some games.
One thing I noticed about the NBA even as a kid going to games in Oakland was that it was mostly white people in the good seats by the court and mostly black people up in the nose bleed seats.
This man is engaged in a business that requires tens of thousands of disparate people to travel from their homes and gather in an orderly fashion under one roof on a regular basis, and then promptly leave and return safely to their homes.
How is that going to work without cops?
I guess when your Head Coach of an 11th place Team, missing the playoffs, you need to project and deflect your incompetence in any way possible.
I hope he refrains from calling the police when someone tries to break into his house.
Popovich is nothing more than a white butt boy for his black players.
These anti police types ought to wear a “Do not Respond” wristband, and have “Do not Respond” signage at their home

Popovich is proving what many Spurs fans were reluctant to acknowledge for a long time that being any NBA coach can be considered to be great when he has 4-5 hall of fame players on the team at the same time. Those HoF players for the Spurs are now retired and the team has not had a winning record for quite a while.
Pop is an Air Force Academy grad. One would expect that he would be somewhat conservative until you are told what his specialty was upon graduation - military intelligence in Soviet countries. He has obviously been consumed by the communist doctrine he had to study for his degree.
