FLASHBACK: Thousands of USPS mailboxes removed during Obama-Biden administration

In fact, between 2011 and 2016, there were roughly 14,000 USPS mailboxes removed, which was during the Obama-Biden administration.

A 2009 Washington Post article stated, "In the past 20 years, 200,000 mailboxes have vanished from city streets, rural routes and suburban neighborhoods – more than the 175,000 that remain."

"The U.S. Postal Service says it removes 'underperforming' mailboxes – those that collect fewer than 25 pieces of mail a day – after a week-long 'density test,'" the report read, echoing what Frum said last week.

Because of the hysteria over the relocated mailboxes, the USPS said they would not remove any boxes until after the election.

"We are not going to be removing any boxes," USPS spokesman Rod Spurgeon told NBC News. "After the election, we're going to take a look at operations and see what we need and don't need."

However, it wasn't only mailboxes that were on the chopping block during the Obama-Biden administration, 3,653 post offices were targeted to be shut down, according to a 2011 Washington Post article.

All day today, the Sunday shows repeated this loathsome conspiracy fed to them by the Democrats. But here’s the truth about removing mailboxes!https://t.co/BXLbtLqsbM— Mark R. Levin (@marklevinshow) August 17, 2020

Haven't seen a phone booth in a long time either.

My mailman picks up my outgoing mail. I think it's done all over the country.

Here's my thought...you need a postmark date if you're going to mail your ballot.

How many people will handle your ballot? If you're from a heavy repub district....just toss half and the Dems are ahead. Yes...fraud is easy.

Over the next month or two....at least a dozen post office will be set on fire by Antifa, and at that point....less than 5-percent of the population will trust the mail-in-vote idea. But that won’t stop 40-odd states from taking 3-billion dollars and attempting to conduct a crazy mail-vote deal. People will be laughing over the next forty years how this whole thing fell apart.

If they want mail voting then everyone should mail their ballot certified mail, return receipt requested. That should make in person voting look like EZ Pass compared to the PO’s backed up toll booth.

I remember this happening. A couple of places where I knew I could drop off my mail disappeared during this “efficiency” removal. One of them was next to the bus stop at the entrance to Ft. McNair in Washington, DC. The other place was in suburban MD.

A long term USPS worker told
Me never to put anything
Important in an outside mailbox

All my outgoing mail I deposit
In a post office branch

There is one inside box known
To me locally. There were
More once upon a time

I wish I could say I trust
The delivery persons for
But there have been some
Anomalies over the years

Both incoming and outgoing
First Class are significant
In my life and that was
Before corona

Pay phones in subway stops
Have almost entirely vanished
These were on the platforms
One had to pay the fare to use
Them only reporting to MTA or
NYPD. Viawireless now
