NYT: Ex-FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith expected to plead guilty in Durham probe
“A former FBI lawyer will plead guilty to making a false statement in the first criminal case arising from U.S. Attorney John Durham’s investigation into the probe of ties between Russia and the 2016 Trump campaign.” Then he’ll be told to not do that anymore.

If I understand things correctly, Kevin Clinesmith altered evidence to support the Carter Page FISA. That means everything under, including the Russia investigation, is “fruit of the poisonous tree”. This was the insurance policy and it was all based off of this. I’m still skeptical but now getting my hopes up again, just a little.
Plea deal for ratting up the chain of command?

I wonder if he cut a deal and if he’ll provide evidence against anybody else.

The real question is “did he talk”? He was privy to the internal deliberations of the 7th floor of the FBI during the investigation. We will probably not find out until after the election.
Yesterday, Barr said to expect a minor development today.
The only time we can be SURE this whole Durham/Barr thing is a big nothingburger is if nothing happens before the election. Until then, it is highly possible we re simply seeing precise timing being applied to all of this.
It’s just possible that Barr, in October, will say to the left, “I am not left handed either!”*
*Princess Bride reference - and we all know how that fight ended up.

I do the same thing. But it’s fun to watch sometimes :-)
Nothing happens we are mad. An investigation happens we say it goes nowhere. Someone gets indicted we say he’s a nobody. It’s hysterical :-)
Ahh, I see the pissers and moaners are out in force.
“Low hanging fruit”, “a nobody”, “He’ll be told not to do it again and get a year probation (suspended).
Maybe I don’t have quite the level of genius as the pissers and moaners but If I were Barr I would release the indictment etc on the little fish first and save the Whales for the October time period.
