I’m not so sure. Yes, a few centrist Democrats have awoken, but the Democrat Party is just shouting “racism” even louder to the rest, and many drones are responding. I have some such relatives and acquaintances. Covid19 means they are home watching CNN and MSNBC 24/7. Even though they are white and nominally Christian, they seem to hate whites and christians, which they have learned to reflexively associate with "white nationalism” or similar stupid, meaningless slogans. And of course “orange man bad."

On a bright note, have lots of friends on the Left. Up until a few months ago there absolutely no discussion as there was no common ground and there was persuading them on any of the issues that they had formed strongly felt, but irrational and contraindicated opinions on.
That has changed - stunningly so. Many are now able to listen to opposing views and are re evaluating their opinions in light of recent events.
They are also becoming very receptive to including their own safety and self interest for their families and themselves in their ideological calculus.
In their mind, there is a germinating glimmer of realization that Trump may be a narcissistic fascist but they are sophisticated enough to grasp that the alternative is a Biden Admin with economic implosion and deepening civil strife and violence directed indiscriminately against disfavored segments of society targeted by the revolutionaries , especially against wealthy, successful white people.
When mob rule takes over., the mob does not care of your skin color or political leaning, it just seeks destruction for it's own sake or as a pretext to burn and loot. We all are Americans and this is the home we all live in. At some point concerns over watching anarchists burn and loot your home trump ideology for many . So there is hope
