Biden's hideous plan to make family life in suburbs unbearably miserable Would use federal housing policy to 'alter local regulations'

President Trump recently decided to rescind the Obama administration’s Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) rule, which put pressure on suburbs to construct more low-income, high-density housing in their communities. Trump’s decision met with a predictable outcry. “It’s not even a dog whistle anymore,” Connecticut senator Chris Murphy tweeted. “Our President is now a proud, vocal segregationist.”

Somehow, Democrats still see the suburbs as racially homogenized, lily-white enclaves — something they haven’t been for a long time. According to demographer Joel Kotkin and urban studies professor Alan Berger, 151 million Americans live in the suburbs and exurbs, compared with only 25 million in urban cores. A majority of African-Americans in the nation’s 100 largest metropolitan areas live in the suburbs. More Hispanics have been moving to the suburbs than whites, and the Asian population in suburban areas is growing nearly twice as fast as that of Asians living in inner-city cores.

It only works if your county accepts Federal Funds with strings attached.

Ours does not, for this specific reason.

People will just move out further. The Dems never take into account human nature. They just assume that people will sit still and take what they dish out. But they don’t................

Every politician who supports this “high density housing” (welfare apartments) in the midst of single family homes, must be eliminated.

I’ve see developers saddled with that nonsense in Sacramento. It makes each of their houses $100k cheaper.

Atlantic magazine had an article about how crime skyrocketed around Memphis when that city tried theneighborhood. And the professors who did the research did not expect or want the results but they were honest.

Inner city mothers want a safe neighborhood but they lose their social and support networks. Their sons still want the thug life and invite their friends to vibrantize the neigborhood.

“...Obama administration’s Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) rule, which put pressure on suburbs to construct more low-income, high-density housing in their communities...”

Seriously...how does THAT jive with ‘life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness...”

I mean, there are human rights (which have the EXCLUSIVE and undivided attention of ALL Liberals) then there are HARD EARNED rights!!! Now that is a class of ‘rights’ for which Liberals have complete intolerance (except when/AS it applies to their OWN exclusive, financially prohibitive, privately accessible, unapproachable residences and communities!).

Getting into THEIR neighborhoods involves established and rigorously enforced ‘criminal trespass’ litigation for sure!!

So if YOU work and struggle to get out of dangerous, unwholesome neighborhoods, and you finally achieve the ‘hard earned’ right TO something better for yourself and your children, well...too bad for you! You are going to be run over.... Really?

Ha! Just TRY crashing one of their country club shindigs and see how THAT goes!!

It only works if your county accepts Federal Funds with strings attached.

With a Democrat congress they'll change that.

People will just move out further.

They'll control the zoning everywhere and they'll move low income people further out.

Basically, a tricky way to promote “block busting” , the progressive trick of giving government subsidized welfare housing to inner city gangsters to destabilize the suburban communities.

Not going to work in this election, thanks to the BLM riots. The Democrats are working from an old playbook and the old play don't work anymore.

Most minorities living in suburbia fled the urban areas to get away from the crime, the drugs, the gangs and the gangsta/ghetto mentality.

They know what the score is and they don't want to see their new and better lives destroyed and they home investment ruined.

The big story that no one is publicizing was that the Progressive agenda of the Obama years was to destroy suburbia and it's middle class inhabitants and force them into dense urban hell holes.

The insanely bizarre response and polices for Covid -19 and BLM/ANTIFA agenda of government sanction riots and looting combined with defunding the police have changed everything.

The very Democrat leaders who were implementing this agenda have effectively destroyed their carefully planned and executed agenda to destroy our complacent and misinformed middle class suburbia and to fundamentally transform the country to an urban utopia built in their image and based on their priorities.

The great success of the progressive propagandists was to keep the complacent middle class ,largely blue collar working class and suburban soccer moms as staunch members of the Democrat voter coalition despite the fact that these same progressives were setting up these very same moms and working class for destruction

The silver lining of the dark cloud that has covered us these last few months is that the profound destructiveness of the progressive agenda has been exposed. The mask has come off and they are not the open and not trying to hide their agenda anymore.

We now know what they mean when they call for fundamental transformation of the United States and their vision of a fundamentally changed America is an amazingly dysfunctional and dystopian place of lawlessness, corruption and misery.

They'll control the zoning everywhere and they'll move low income people further out.

Then the wealthy will buy up the inner cities, build new and renovate old and the cycle starts all over again............

They’ve been doing this for decades. My hometown is unrecognizable. I dread going to the supermarket there when I visit - customers are either rude & pushy or completely oblivious. They’re blocking the aisle on their phone, you say “excuse me” to get by and they glare at you.

They put up “projects” about 40 years ago. They sold them to the public as “senior citizens” homes, now they’re Section 8 crime dens that soak up most of the police and other resources. At taxpayers expense.

Used to be a nice blue-collar place to raise your kids.
