I checked all of the oral care products in my cabinet (about four different ones) and none mentioned hinokitiol as an ingredient. I wonder if hinokitiol is a proprietary name for a chemical that might appear under another name when it is included as an ingredient.
Quercetin is a better alternative.
A similar post on FR named zinc quercetin as a non-prescription HCQ-zinc alternative.
All these supplements... makes one frisky... not enough loose flesh to blink anymore...

Hinokitiol is a natural extract of asnaro-hiba wood with strong antimicrobial performance. It has been proved effective in treating penicillin-resistant streptococci and is used as a component for disinfectants, cosmetics, scalp and acne treatments etc. So it displays a positive reaction to bacterial infections and can clean things. But not viruses.
It can be diluted in water and vaporized in the air: it lasts much longer than other volatile substances like alcohol. It has been used as a local and ambient, thus localized, disinfectant and insect repellent. A lot like Lysol. But you wouldn’t drink Lysol.

The left will crucify this medication too, in service to Big Pharma.
