Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham is now saying shes going to keep the COVID practices in place even after a vaccine is available. Grisham says, These are good public health behaviors that will prevent the spread of influenza.
New Mexicans are enlisting legislators to call for an extraordinary session. Heres a post from NM Extraordinary Session Facebook page (posted August 8 at 2:31 pm): This week, the Governor stated that she wants to continue all of her current restrictions whether we get a COVID vaccine or not.
Lets be clear about what that means. Governor Michelle Lujan Grishams orders have been made under the auspices of her executive emergency powers. The NM Supreme Court has upheld her orders because of that interpretation. Only in a crisis could an elected official get away with shutting down places of business, schools, churches, and declaring gatherings of 5 people or more a violation of the law.
Thats because under any ordinary circumstances, these orders violate the constitutional right to freedom of association. (Governor Grisham notably made exceptions to her own rule for mass protests this summer, but has made no such accommodation for public gatherings of groups she disagrees with. The fact is that its the constitutional right of any group of people to publicly gather and peacefully protest, and no elected official should be picking who is allowed to exercise their rights and who isnt.)
So why would the Governor imply that she intends to suspend the right to freedom of association indefinitely? All this statement tells us for sure is that the Governors intentions are to not lift these restrictions, regardless of COVID case numbers.

Nothing would make these anti Christian, anti Jewish democrats happier than to shut down churches and Synagogues permanently.
Post Script: I think I will take all my money elsewhere!
We should not have left the kitchen door open in 1920.
Is there any video or other live proof of Queen Covid actually saying this or is it just hearsay? Not that I’d put it past this See You Next Tuesday, but I’d like something more concrete than a blog known to hype things up.
I searched around and couldn’t find squat.
That is sad. There is a lot of beauty in New Mexico, but it is governed by loons.
I was in Ruidoso on Friday... It was busier than I expected... maybe 1/2 to 3/4 of the normal Summer Friday crowd. Lots of Texas license plates, and even some Arizona and Colorado ones.
It looks like everyone is ignoring Governorlissima Lujan’s 14 day Quarantine orders for out-of-staters. I meant to check to see if there were cars in the race track and casino parking lot, but forgot. I know the Reservation casinos are closed... They even have roadblocks on all the reservation roads, other than Highway 70, and you are not allowed to get off the highway unless you are a Mescalero tribe member.
Walmart and the fast food driveup windows were doing booming business, and a few of the restaurants had awnings set up in the parking lots, and they were full of diners. (packed closer than they would be if they were allowed inside.)
Arrest her and put her in jail.
And so it begins, down the slippery slope. How long before they think of declaring gun violence a public health emergency and start confiscating firearms and ammunition?
I don’t know about video, but the Saner Legislators have gone to the effort to set up a website to coordinate initiating an “Extraordinary Session” to try to reign in our insane Govornorlissima’s totalitarian idiocies:

The last video I saw of the insane Governorlissima Lujan was about a week ago, when she was ranting about people ignoring her edicts, and daring to travel in or out of the state.
Agree. I could find NOTHING to confirm this.
And it's Gateway Pundit.
Unless/until there's actual documentation or video, I'd treat this as unreliable.
New Mexico has long teetered on the edge of solvency, hanging on by federal monies for national labs and military installations, and recently plentiful petroleum and gas reserves. Gov. Grisholm has pushed it over the brink with her largely unchallenged dictatorial policies, which have left shuttered businesses and empty streets in their wake.
She might declare it, I wouldn't be a bit surprised, since she has already tried some unconstitutional gun grabbing, but finding anyone other than her Gestapo State Police to enforce it would be almost impossible. Most of the local police forces and County Sheriffs are ignoring her demands, and in NM even most of the lifelong Democrats love their guns and won't give them up.
I don’t think the governor’s orders actually apply on the reservation. They make their own rules.

Not video proof, but it shows how concerned the saner members of the NM legislature are about it.
You know, I’d heard a lot in years past about how beautiful particular parts of NM were, so made a vow to visit the state one day. Threw that little adventure off my bucket list with no regrets at all. I’ll look at pictures if I feel the need.
The GOOD citizens of NM should deem themselves to ALL live on a reservation.
I among others asked the question: If we are not going to keep doing the “safe” practices WHY NOT?
In a related note: Cedar Dave posted a thread earlier on Governorlissima Lujan possibly being a Satanist:
She doesn’t “Follow” Joe Biden on Twitter, but she DOES “Follow” an avowed ‘Satanic Priest’.

The Apache just got off a two week lock down.
My place is on the edge of the reservation and we couldn’t get off the back of our property.
There’s been something like a grand total of 4 people die in a week in NM from CV19 — and they were all 90 or 50 with diabetes and ill.
