INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett and Marion County Public Health Director Dr. Virginia Caine announced tougher sanctions in the fight against COVID-19.
Caine said, “The time for warnings is over,” as she threatened immediate $1,000 fines to business violating public health orders and individuals violating the mask mandate.
If you see a violation, Dr. Caine asks you to call 317-221-5500 to make a report so an inspector can investigate.
This comes as Marion County’s seven-day daily positivity rate for COVID-19 tests climbs to 9.2%. That’s about four percentage points higher than what experts say is comfortable for battling the virus.
Marion County has the most positive cases of COVID-19 in the state at nearly 16,000. ISDH reports there have been 725 deaths in the county.
Caine says 50% of Marion County’s cases are from people in the 20 to 39-year-old age range. More specifically, most of those cases are in the 20 to 24 age group.
Caine also said bars and nightclubs that do not have a full menu must remain closed. And seating restrictions for indoor and outdoor dining at restaurants remain in place.
Hogsett and Caine also set some specific requirements for high school sporting events this fall. Caine says she is comfortable giving high school football the green light, but the number of people in the stands is limited to 250, regardless of how big the stands are. Everyone in the stands must wear masks and practice social distancing.

Marion County Public Health Director Dr. Virginia Caine said the county’s most recent seven-day positivity rate (July 28 through Aug. 3) sits at 9.2%.
Caine said it appears that rate is starting to decline for the next seven-day period.
Caine said daily testing has increased to around 2,500 tests per day.
In the past week, hospital admissions have also decreased, down to about 18 patients per day, Caine said.
Emergency room visits have also started declining.
What is not forbidden, is now mandatory.
And citizen, it’s for your own good.
Funny, despite states having decreed the wearing of masks for weeks/months, the rate stays the same or goes higher.
But is outdoor activity ok, as long as you are going to a Black Lives Matter riot?????

The “testing” is the biggest bullshit program ever. There is no repeatability from day to day. Brand new test swabs are tested “positive”. This is reverse accounting. You know the answer you want so you can figure out a way to get there. And the answer is we need bigger numbers. We need a second wave. Wake up folks. This is a HOAX.
Apparently BLM riots not only require the wearing of masks in Indianapolis, but it also requires BYOG.

Control over the population. You could have stands that seat 1,000 and seat 250 or 25% capacity or 500 bust still seat 250 and be at %50 capacity. Conversely, you could have a 1,500 seat stands that could seat 375 at 25% cap bot still only seat 250.
