CHICAGO — Widespread damage is reported in downtown Chicago after looting and rioting began around midnight.
Witnesses report hundreds of people smashing their way into stores throughout Michigan Avenue, areas in the South Loop and the near North Side.
WGN’s Judy Wang was on the scene early and reported seeing people filling trash bags with merchandise. She also saw crowd trashing the streets outside the stores and turning over garbage cans.
2nd Ward Alderman Brian Hopkins told WGN he witnessed people driving up in vehicles, smashing windows of stores on Michigan Avenue and grab items and drive away.

So the White House siege is truly a viable threat and very real! No wonder trump is somewhere else and his staff bid him farewell on the WH lawn the other day! As patriots are we ready to defending our national treasures in D.C.? For Trump to be advice to move out of the White House some thing is stirring so big and dangerous that the Secret Service knows they cannot handle it! There are four forces at work here -
Looters who simply want free stuff and excitement (this appears to be the flash mob type - no signs - no protest - just larceny and vandalism)
Antifa/BLM - organized anarchists whose stated goal is to destroy our country as we know it
Democrat politicians who run these locales and somehow believe this kind of anarchy and destruction in their own cities will be a winner for them in November. They are also afraid to call out looters or the organized Marxists bunch because Orange Man did and Orange Man bad
The last group is the media that is mostly dishonest about the three groups above because they are also down with the democrat politician plan and Orange Man bad.
We will not watch every city destroyed. Only those cities where the leaders tolerate or even encourage this will burn or be destroyed. My city did not tolerate looting or rioting on Day 1. The public supported the police and the police stopped it.
Look at Detroit. It is possible for a democrat city to say they will not tolerate looting and they support the police.
Don’t transpose what you see in Chicago, Portland, or Seattle to other cities or flyover country. Those communities that want to tolerate this stuff and handcuff the police are vulnerable. Those that don’t will be fine.
They want Trump to act, but the primary responsibility for stopping this lies with the failed leadership of these cities.
I think you are right, and even if they did prosecute, think about the chance of 12 jurors from that area (and similar areas) all voting to convict.
People watching and buying anything to do with them are help to fund their support of these nazi/marxists groups.

This is what Mayor Wilhelm did. They don't care if they get caught. This is why wealthy people who have moved out, will not be coming back to NYC anytime soon. I certainly would not if I owned a place in the city.
These stupid liberal mayors around the country are killing the golden goose. Who are they going to tax when all the rich liberals leave and sell their condos? Rich people have the ability to move anywhere they want. They do not have to live on the upper east side or upper west side of Manhattan.
These are the people that spend money and drive the economy. This is why real estate is so hot right now in places like NH, VT, ME, ID, MT, AZ, NV, UT, SC, FL, etc.
People are leaving the big cities similar to the late sixties. They will not be coming back.
Working remotely does not just mean you work from your house in the suburbs. It means working from anywhere you have a dependable internet connection.
For example, my nephew works for a company in downtown LA.
He is a young man who shares a house with three other professional young men. They are all working from home for the foreseeable future. Their lease was up. So, instead of staying in southern California, they leased a house in Deer Park, UT. for less money. Now, they can mountain bike, ski, hike and do all the outdoor sports they are all into. This is happening everywhere in the country.
