And yet, anyone who wants to wear one can. In fact, cities and towns can install mask orders there.
Just pointing that out, not saying I like masks, as I don’t.
Think of a basketball. Now think of a hoop with a diameter of 1000 feet. The mask has about as much chance of catching the virus as the 1000 foot hoop has of stopping a basketball.
Wrong. Perceivable odors are caused by molecules, which are orders of magnitude smaller than the microdroplets that carry viruses, and even the individual virus particles.
My petite, 60-something, female cousin showed up to a family funeral a few weeks back wearing a disposable mask that was so ridiculously large on her face I almost burst out laughing when I saw it.
It was a pale yellow color, and if you stood to one side you could look through the cheek gap and watch her lips move while she talked. That’s protection!
Her husband had a standard blue disposable mask that was better fitted, but his bushy beard was sticking out all around it.
Anyone know how many microns a beard is rated to filter?
What a pathetic, sad comedy we’re enduring.
Well gosh - perhaps some of those people are wrong and you’re correct since I’m reading this on the internet which is always right since it’s the internet.
I sure did
I shouldn’t have got of bed today and went to work for millions of welfare recipients
OMG
You guys are brutal today...
LOL
It doesn’t say “the Dutch Dr. Fauci”
It says “Dutch Dr. Fauci”
Friggin dorks are picking me today.
It’s Friday and I want off this ride....
So I’m not the only one with a beard filter. I claim my whiskers are anti-viral.
L8r
Because it’s not November 4th yet.
Gotta keep the covid train rolling until then.
What better way to keep it on top of people’s minds than to have a bunch of schlubs walking around in masks everywhere one looks?
We can’t avoid the constant reminders on the internet, TV, or radio, so they figured they may as well turn people into angry, depressed, frightened, walking billboards for covid to complete the onslaught. Thereby, leaving intoxication and sleep as our only escapes.
Interesting...the mask gives people a false sense of security, so they get closer together. But most people wear their masks incorrectly (leaks), so that plus closer distances causes GREATER disease spread than no mask and more distancing.
Rather counterintuitive, but makes sense.
They are simply saying that Jaap van Dissel, Director of the RIVM Centre for Infectious Disease Control, is the Dutch guy who has the same job as Fauci. No need to mention Fauci in the story.
That it is, FRiend.
There are so many diseases these masks are nothing but petri dishes for. Hep-A, MRSA, Tuberculosis ...
Agreed on all points.
Here’s one that ought to be amusing: The City Council of Edmond, OK has recently decided to implement a city-wide mask mandate. Thing is, that mandate doesn’t even go into effect until August 26. It was originally scheduled to expire on Sept. 8, but they had some sort of follow-up meeting and pulled the date of Oct. 12 out of the air as the new expiration date.
Makes no sense at all. If Covid-19 is the Black Plague Version 2.0, and if every living soul in Edmond is at risk, why wait till August 26 to implement their stupid mandate?
First of all, I thought the title read “Ditch Dr. Fauci” and that warmed the cockles of my heart...such a disappointment
Please stop insulting Dr. Jaap van Dissel.
You could spray them with Lysol, or mix a little of it into your beard oil, if you use it.
Then you’d at least have chemistry backing you up. A little bit.
“Only one in a hundred people are properly fitting a clean mask and refrain from touching it.”
None of these blue masks everyone wears can be fitted. Leak all the way around.
And if they don’t actually leak, they still cannot stop a virus.
