So all the NYers who moved to FL to escape NY taxes cannot make it back to their NYC apartments/co-ops/condos.
I live in Florida and have to travel to Chicago where they recently put in a 14-day quarantine order for people like me. Luckily, my work is considered essential business, so I’m exempt from the order.
Problem is that the client and/or the general contractor wanted me to get tested every time I arrived for a 3-5 day period, citing Florida’s higher infection rate. It was only when I pointed out that the 1.5% rate in my home county was substantially lower than the 2.0% rate in Chicago - and that for my protection, I wanted everyone else to be tested - that they relented, only asking that I get a forehead temperature scan at the beginning of each shift.
The leftist mayors and governors are not going to willingly give us back our freedom. If we want it back, we are going to have to take it.
