Dr. Manny Sethi, a candidate for the GOP nomination for U.S. Senate in Tennessee, decided to surround himself with Never Trumpers, including his campaign manager who believes President Donald Trump is a “divisive, short-fingered vulgarian.”

Sethi has presented himself as a “conservative outsider” in the race against the Trump-backed Bill Hagerty, but all the people he has brought into every senior role in his campaign are devout Never Trump political consultants.

Two exceedingly intelligent and well-qualified Republican candidates for Senate in Tennessee, and both are fighting tooth and nail to prove that they’re the bigger idiot.

What are Dr Moriarty’s sorry Sethi’s chances of winning?

He’s a libertarian backed by Rand Paul not the usual Republican East Tennessee Establishment like Lamar Alexander.

Folks, at least on the Right, ain’t dumb. They’ll see this and he won’t stand a chance with Conservatives. Hopefully be sent packing.

So basically he's just another anti-American leftist A*hole trying to displace someone who will support President Trump's agenda.

To hell with him, and may it be an expensive journey.

LOL. His opponent is paling around with ROMNEY and LAMAR! Who cares about this guy’s staff. Alexander gave Hagerty a personal tour of the Seante. Anybody is better than Romney and Lamar’s shoe shine boy. If Hagerty was genuinely MAGA they wouldn’t touch him. Guaranteed.

Trump doesn’t get them all right. Hagerty is endorsed by Romney and useless tool Lamar (!). That right there is disqualifying. I will never vote for any candidate endorsed by Romney. Period.

divisive, Considering the crap that is produced in Washington when everyone gets together to gather power and cash, I love division. Sheep to one side and goats to the other.

short-fingered

Huh? What is this obsession with hand size? Unless they are trying to use that as a reference to genital size.

vulgarian

So he doesn't raise his pinky properly when sipping tea and he puts ketchup on his steak. I am reminded of Lincoln's response to accusations that Grant was a drunk, and Lincoln wanted to know what he drank so he could send a barrel to all of his generals. Everyone gets Trump's steak ketchup.

“Hagerty is endorsed by Romney and useless tool Lamar”

It is all politics and posturing. Hagerty contributed to Romney’s presidential campaign while Romney was claiming to be conservative. Now, Romney wants to flatter Hagerty because he thinks he will win and Romney wants a friend, and someone who “owes” him in the Senate.

You got me there. Didn’t know that.

Last time Graham ran, from the quick delve into backgrounds I did, it looked like he had some pretty legit competition. At least on paper. We are all too familiar with these a-holes talking a good game and then rolling over when they get to DC.

But, with all that the President and us, have been through the last 3+ years, I think that it’s time to start putting some major blame on the state GOP-machine. They are the ones that prop up whoever they think will make the best puppet. Most of the time we end up with whoever they choose and then ride that incumbent train until it comes off the rails.

The President is a complete anomaly. He was chosen by the people, not the RNC. It wasn’t his turn and never was supposed to be his turn. And that is why THEY ALL HATE him so much.

Candidates are backed by Never Trumpers, Romney and Alexander.....damn that is a chitty hand to be dealt.

Trump contributed to Romney’s campaign and endorsed him for Senate. How did that work out?

It’s a huge red flag that Hagerty is running a fake MAGA campaign with those endorsements. Chamber of Commerce stooges like Romney and Lamar do not support the MAGA agenda and do not want MAGA votes in the Senate.

AFAIC Marsh Blackburn’s endorsement of Hagerty is, short of the Trump endorsement, the most important. Marsha gained her chops by leading the successful effort to defeat a state income tax, an income tax that was proposed by RINO gov. Sundqist, whose name lives in perpetual infamy here in TN.

The Breitbart article s too long. Too much information. Looks like we’re screwed here either way. I gave $100 to Blackburn. I’ll go with her views.

It obviously did not for Trump. However, that is not the first time political wheeling and dealing did not work out and it won’t stop subsequent efforts. You win some and you lose some.
