People who resist COVID-19 restrictions are often accused of being selfish and caring only about their own freedom. While that might explain the actions of some, moral arguments can be made against many of the restrictions.
Although simple appeals to freedom are indeed less popular today than in the past, we should not disregard them. Nearly all our responses to COVID-19 require balancing one concern against another, and individuals and institutions will come to different conclusions as they try to strike that balance.

There is nothing moral about these lock downs and mask wearing karens. I saw last night on the news that more high school kids either committed suicide or had a drug overdose then dying from the covid.
Yes, the american people need to grow a pair.
States have power only limited by the federal constitution, their own constitution and any applicable state creation act passed by Congress.
The limited effectiveness of masks is being greatly reduced by FDA vaccine introduction delays.
The vaccines that we will use against Covid-19 have already been created.
There is great irony that the stupid BLM protests are going on, while at the same time people are being shamed for not wearing masks and basically being told: “It is terribly selfish to expect to be a free person.”
When my cousins get together we would hug, now that is unacceptable. These restrictions are dehumanizing us.
Corona virus have been around for 6000 years.
A corona virus vaccine (except for dogs) has never been successfully developed before.
And all of the sudden you want a vaccine yesterday?
With a Dash of
Stockholm Syndrome.
Transcript of internal debate at the CDC:
Fauci: Hey, guess what? We did it! We finally forced them all to wear masks!
Redfield: Youre kidding?
Birx: No f**king way!
Adams: Even POTUS?
Fauci: Yes, even POTUS, he finally caved!
Birx: Cool! So Tony, what do we do now?
Fauci: First I think Ill show up at a baseball game NOT wearing one, just so I can lord it over everybody how we are the ones who are really superior to them.
Redfield: That would be AWESOME! But once youve done that what are we ever going to do to top this?
Fauci: Thats easy....goggles! Face shields!
Adams: ooooooh....I like the way you think Tony!
Fauci: Twelve hours after Im done giving my interview to
CNN the lawn and garden shelves at Home Depot are
gonna look like the toilet paper section at Target
in April.
Birx: If we can make them wear masks AND shields, why, we
can make them wear ANYTHING!
Fauci: Yes, indeed. Ankle bracelets, cowboy hats,
those silk disco shirts that went out of style in 1979, handcuffs lined with fur...
Adams: Ballgags? Please please PLEASE can we do ballgags?
Fauci: No, Jerome, no one would ever see them under the
masks.
Redfield: I know....lets make them wear their underwear
on the OUTSIDE! I saw that one in a movie once.
It was hilarious!
Birx: I dont know. Wearing my bra on the outside? The
Playtex Pretty Petite #304 clashes with most of my
scarves.
Fauci: All in favor.....
LOL
The basic message is along the lines of “You will live under tyranny until you cure the common cold.”
Unacceptable.
Saul Alinsky said that ridicule is a powerful weapon.
He was right.
LOL! Dont give them any ideas.
Seriously, though, I think youre right...theyre having the time of their lives watching us all jump through the ever and ever smaller hoops they have set up. A new hoop a day, each one more restrictive than the last.
This has got to stop! I wish I knew of somebody or some group that would provide some leadership and begin to rebel.
‘Yes, the american people need to grow a pair.’
well, the American socio-political landscape is increasingly defined by feminine imperatives; this being the case, fear, not freedom, is going to prevail...
‘I wish I knew of somebody or some group that would provide some leadership and begin to rebel.’
everyone in any position of power, and I mean everyone, is petrified of ticking off the so called karens (I detest both the term and those it describes with a passion)...they are in complete control of governing principles...
Thats true. And the Karens are everywhere and will attack personally. They carried on a campaign on Nextdoor - which I no longer even read- attacking a local restaurant that didnt force people or staff to wear masks even before the mayor issued his idiotic order, and they were completely vicious. I pointed out that they didnt have to eat there and in fact they could stay home and order in, and let the rest of us do as we wished. Boy, was that unpopular! And they were completely vicious, to the point that I was afraid theyd get my home address. Most of them, judging form their comments, were probably middle-aged liberal women.
Unconstitutional!
