Tony Evers issues a statewide mandate to wear masks indoors through the end of September

Gov. Tony Evers is requiring all Wisconsin residents to wear face masks while indoors until the end of September.

. . .

Along with the new face mask requirement, Evers declared a new public health emergency in Wisconsin over rising cases of the virus — a move considered legally dubious by conservatives.

. . .

The governor is issuing the statewide mandate after first maintaining he lacked the authority do so and then changing course, saying for weeks he was considering the idea but worried Republican lawmakers would take him to the Wisconsin Supreme Court again.

. . .

The governor's face mask requirement takes effect the same day as the state Supreme Court's liberal minority expands with the addition of Jill Karofsky, who was elected in April

. . .

In a briefing with reporters, Evers downplayed the timing.

"It doesn't have everything to do with it — the virus is the issue, not Jill Karofsky," he said.

Yup, it has nothing to do with the change in the supreme court, that slapped him down earlier this year.

99.8% of the people that get the ChiCom Flu are Asymptomatic and are INCAPABLE of transmitting the Virus. This is WELL KNOWN and Established by numerous other Countries. These Elected Officials should be EXILED to Venezuela or Cuba.

We know that wearing a mask outside health care facilities offers little, if any, protection from infection. Public health authorities define a significant exposure to Covid-19 as face-to-face contact within 6 feet with a patient with symptomatic Covid-19 that is sustained for at least a few minutes (and some say more than 10 minutes or even 30 minutes). The chance of catching Covid-19 from a passing interaction in a public space is therefore minimal. In many cases, the desire for widespread masking is a reflexive reaction to anxiety over the pandemic.

New England Journal of Medicine.

Sweden has foregone a hard lockdown throughout the outbreak, a strategy that set it apart from most of Europe.

Chief epidemiologist Anders Tegnell of the public health agency said a rapid slowdown in the spread of the virus indicated very strongly that Sweden had reached relatively widespread immunity.

I’ve adopted the passive resistance attitude.

I don’t wear masks. If a business forces me to, and I can’t go anywhere else (it happens), I wear a torn off sleeve and enter. Then pull it up to my forehead soon as the mask Nazi is out of sight.

Rinse, repeat. If a cop tells me to, I’ll do the same thing. Comply for a few minutes, then not.

If everyone freedom loving did it, the obvious lack of compliance, without confrontation, would forcefully show our lack of respect for the government, without people going to jail.

It’s what kids will do at school; wear in front of mask Nazis if they must, then peel them off when out of sight. That’s what happened in EU. The mask Nazis give up after 3 weeks. It’s useless.

Per DoughtyOne’s daily covid update - https://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3869429/posts - Wisconsin is nearly right in the middle for all the Covid stats.

Total cases - #24
Deaths - #28
Active cases - #35
Cases per million - #35
Deaths per million - #35
Test given - #20
Test per million - #26

And the numbers have been about there the whole time.

Which is very interesting, since Wisconsin is one of the states that has been “wild wild west” since the court shot down Ever’s original rules back in March or so.

If all the scare theories are correct, we should be one of the worst, at least in the “per million” ranks.

Because of Ever’s new rule on indoor masks, my local YMCA now will require masks while exercising. It’s hot and breathing limiting to follow this rule, darn Democrat governor!

It certainly was getting harder and harder to avoid it, although I have been successful thus far. Not sure how much longer though.

I’m not complying. I’ll wear a mask for grocery shopping and at the door for work (they do a temperature screening) but that’s it. Not voted on by the legislature.

We voted. It was under strict virus safety procedures. The numbers were somewhat down because many vulnerable voters were afraid to go out.

But, the real reason Kelly lost was fraud in Milwaukee. Probably fraud in Dane County (Madistan), too. Anyone paying attention knows this.

And that’s how Evers got in, too.

Evers got in solely on the pot advisory referendums. What a joke that was. And the fools thought they would get legal pot the next day.

Having a mandate is one thing. Being able to enforce it is something else.

We have been dealing with Virals intellectually and scientifically for 150 years and none of them are transmittable until symptoms present.

They just keep lying

I’ve just been to lots of places in Wisconsin, and the people there won’t wear masks indoors or out.
