Spaced based laser weapons? I would assume that they don’t have to worry about the heat generation on components as the dead cold of space would take care of that...hmmmmm

Or two near parallel lasers tuned to create an interference pattern on the subatomic level, at the point they intersect.

Maybe it should be call a Phaser.
