Elon is an interesting sort, I would say he’s more Libertarian than Conservative (although he has no problem taking loads of Government money for his companies).

I am a staunch conservative but I would gladly take any EXISTING government money they ‘invest’ in research and development.

It’s there already. It exists. I would take it.

But I would campaign against such programs, even if it meant I would not get them in the future.
