Columnist John Kass has defied “cancel culture” at the Chicago Tribune after members of the journalists’ union attacked him for criticizing left-wing billionaire George Soros and his backing of “progressive” prosecutors across the country.
Last week, Kass wrote about “an overwhelming sense of lawlessness” in Democrat-run cities, and noted: “[T]hese Democratic cities are also where left-wing billionaire George Soros has spent millions of dollars to help elect liberal social justice warriors as prosecutors. He remakes the justice system in urban America, flying under the radar.”
That statement is entirely accurate.
In 2018, Breitbart News reported that Soros was involved in funding the campaigns of “progressive” district attorneys across the nation. Mainstream media outlets also reported it: the Los Angeles Times noted that Soros was “spending big to help decide who’s your next D.A.,” and that some of the funding was “hidden.”
Soros’s most famous success was Kim Foxx, the controversial Chicago-area prosecutor who infamously dropped the case against actor Jussie Smollett, who faked a hate crime that he blamed on MAGA hat-wearing Trump supporters in 2019.
The Chicago Tribune Guild, the union representing journalists at the paper, wrote a letter to the paper accusing Kass of promoting the “odious, anti-Semitic conspiracy theory that billionaire George Soros is a puppet master controlling America’s big cities” and demanded that he, and the newspaper, apologize.
The paper demoted Kass from his position as “lead columnist” on page 2, and attempted to justify its actions by saying it was part of an overall reorganization.
In response, Kass has written a column this week in which he refuses to apologize, and defies the left’s “cancel culture”:

Kass is one of the good guys. I got around to reading the controversial article. I don’t know how readers could find it offensive, unless they are offended by the truth. He criticized Soros and Soros’ bought-and-paid-for county prosecutors for having some responsibility for the rise in urban crime. That’s verifiable. Soros did fund their campaigns, and their “criminal justice reforms” have allowed dangerous criminals to walk. I have noticed for a while, though, that Soros’ defenders have been playing the anti-Semite card whenever he is taken to task. Kass mentioned nothing about Soros being a Jew. The criticism of Soros’ funding the Left’s agenda itself was enough. I’m figuring the people who have trouble with Kass were just waiting for him to write something they could latch onto (and, in this case, blatantly represent) so they could get him.
Kind of like the continuing outrage over George Floyd. All of the stuff that has been happening isn’t about him. He is just the excuse for the disorder. If it hadn’t been George Floyd’s death, it would have been something else.
Calling out Soros is “anti-Semitic”?
Guess they didn’t know about Soros turning in Jews to the Nazis during WWII so he could then go in and steal their belongings when they were shipped off to death camps.
Oh.....that’s right.....they did know that.

I will not apologize for writing the truth about Soros.
I will not bow to those who’ve wrongly defamed me. Ever.
But I do thank readers and friends who stood by me.
Soros = Nazi collaborator and convicted felon. The heart and soul of the Demonrat party.
Kind of like the continuing outrage over George Floyd.
I don’t get it either, Lloyd George died many years ago.
Almost 75 to be exact.
Don’t get me mixed up. I have enough trouble not referring to him as Floyd George.

It is time for everyone to start standing up to leftist cancel culture. Quite frankly, best way to go about it is by lawfare, Nick Sandman style.
