I think eventually we’ll find Dems were behind the push for Sessions to be AG, knowing they could steamroll him into recusing.
The Insurance Policy.

The vote was 52R to 47D for Sessions. Hardly a push for Sessions by Dems. Steamrolling Sessions very well could have been plan B.

“The Insurance Policy.”
Hmmm ... Interesting. Their insurance policy was Session? Maybe you’re right.

Sadly, Trump has only himself to blame for Sessions. But it was an understandable mistake. Sessions gave Trump a lot of support during the campaign, so it was natural to think he’d have his back as AG. Unfortunately, Sessions turned our to have a spine of jello and had no idea how to be AG. Reminded me of when Clinton picked Les Aspin to be Sec Def. Both men were total misfits in their job. Which just goes to show, you want to be very, very careful when picking a legislator for the Executive branch.
Though, on the other hand, Pompeo seems to be an excellent choice.
