Looks likes Cruz is back to his NeverTrumper mode.
Doesn't look like that to me by any stretch of the imagination. He criticized the president on one thing while also praising him. Cruz has consistently been one of Trump's strongest supporters since he took office. Slavish devotion to Trump is not a good thing - even Trump admitted just yesterday that he sometimes wishes he'd waited before tweeting.

Maybe you don’t think of him as a NeverTrumper, but he certainly followed what their script by giving the media a GREAT headline to trash Trump with, rather than getting with him privately.
