With the fate of the 2020 college football season in flux, the only certainty about the season remains the constant uncertainty. With big decisions by Power Five commissioners looming about the sports immediate future, the most prepared schools to play football this season remain the three military academies who play FBS football.

Bigger question is; will there be any organized football in 2020 at all? After the election is a little late to start the season.
“Could a military academy win the college football title this season?”
No, Never. Next question.
Alabama (just like life in Jurassic park) would find a way to play at least 1 more game than all the rest of the NCAA teams.
Does this mean Iowa State has a chance, too?
GO CLONES!!!
LSU won last year. Clemson is still around, and UGA has got lots of high quality quarterbacks. Add Oklahoma and Ohio State and Alabama is just another super star team amoung others. Clemson has still got that blond kid from Cartersville for this season.
No, unfortunately those cadets are no more immune than anyone else playing them game, and let’s politely say
that they have greater academic and institutional responsibilities too...
**Until this past year, I would have not even called this an assumption. But the infestation of SJW's into even the military bureaucracy has left me wondering.
I think the military academies need a total rethink. They’ve become government run four year liberal colleges. West Point could be transformed into a two year expanded OCS program. Also, I’d like to see all officer candidates serve at least two years enlisted before getting a commission. Successful completion of a university degree is no longer a guarantee of intelligence nor dedication. And military rank structure probably needs a rethink too.
When the Army games were scheduled, the network strongly wanted to have the at-Army game at a large metropolitan venue such as the Meadowlands or Yankee stadium for the big $$$ shot. Oklahoma said no dice, were going to the West Point campus (about 38,000 seats). Heck, Oklahoma wanted to take the whole band, cheerleader and pep squads and schooner as well.
As a USAFA grad, the answer is no. Even with mass cancellations and revisions to the football schedule, the academies are just as pathetic these days as their civilian counterparts. The administration is full of SJWs who cant even conduct a Basic Cadet Training without masks and social distancing. Half the cadet wing is not even there right now. Point is, dont count on the service academies to even conduct a competitive season let alone win a title.
What?
Every West Point graduate earns an engineering degree and I assume thats also the case for the Navy Academy and Air Force Academy as well.
That may the way to hope, that is not the way to bet.
Go Navy
Would agree. As a USAFA grad, its getting harder and harder to justify the continuation of the academies at all, let alone in their current format. Its a sad but needed realization
My grand daughter just started at USNA. By what definition would you consider it a liberal college?
If SAT scores were used to admit athletes to college, YES.

yes, Navy at #2 could have been National Champions but were never in the game. Texas went up 28-0 and rested their QB.
In a slightly more recent case, in 1985, undefeated Air Force (10-0) in mid-November was being touted as a logical opponent for undefeated (9-0). All AF had to do was go to BYU and win, so it seemed. As I watched on closed circuit TV in a Mormon Church (as a lucky guest). AF went up 14-0 in the first quarter. I had to really subdue myself. Alas, AF lost 21-28, and One-loss Oklahoma beat Penn St 25-10 in the Bowl game. AF beat Texas handily in their Bowl game, finishing 12-1.
Are you sure of that ? I think there has been a huge surge of Humanities studies and less emphasis on Engineering and Math since they went Coed.
