US officials raid Chinese consulate in Houston believed to be spy hub

U.S. officials pried open the doors of the Chinese consulate in Houston on Friday and took over the building shortly after Chinese officials vacated the facility on orders from the Trump Administration.

Federal officials and local law enforcement surrounded the Houston facility Friday afternoon as the Chinese officials moved out of the building that the Trump Administration contends was a hub of spy activity by the Chinese Communist Party.

Forty minutes after the 4 p.m. eviction deadline passed, U.S. officials broke into a back door of the consulate and a man believed to be a State Department official led the way of the U.S. takeover, the Houston Chronicle reported.

Photographs show federal officials and a locksmith trying to force their way into the vacated Consulate General of China. U.S. officials had tried three other entrances but couldn't get in. Security teams donning U.S. State Department emblems on their shirts stood guard. The Houston Chronicle reported that the local fire department entered the building, too.

Tuesday night, hours after the Trump Administration announced its directive for the Chinese to vacate, the Houston Fire Department responded to fires at the courtyard of the building -- an apparent effort to destroy documents. Chinese officials refused to allow the first responders to enter to put out the fires, Fox 26 in Houston reported.

It would be nice to see one or two more closed. Just for good measure.

Great news! Everything in the U.S. that hails from China, including students and professors and other people, should be looked at very closely.

In fact, why not get them all out. Make sure their visas are up to date; don’t renew them if you are asked to do so, etc.

Anyway, I’m just really tired; didn’t sleep well last night. So I hope this post doesn’t incite violence.

I am just tired of China having the world by “the short hairs,” as they say. They are no better than anyone else on the planet, and no amount of cheap cr*p you can buy at the Dollar Store will change that.

The U.S. is going to have to set up internment camps for Chinese nationals if relations keep deteriorating.

“The U.S. is going to have to set up internment camps for Chinese nationals if relations keep deteriorating.”

Well, there is precedent for that option.

It wouldn’t bother me in the least. We must protect America.

There is a group of people who believe that these embassies are spreading the virus in this country on purpose. It may sound far-fetched but in these trouble times anything can happen. Remember that anthrax thing we went through in 2001 no one knows where that came from.

I’m on my phone at our lake cottage with limited service so I can’t provide links, but in March I saw videos of random Asian men and women on security cameras caught spitting on grocery store produce, putting spit on elevator buttons, etc. This was not just the U.S., but worldwide.

Now there are reports of seed packets from China arriving unsolicited to people who didn’t order them, but had ordered seeds online in the past. Again, this is worldwide, and governments warn not to plant them.

So, no, it wouldn’t surprise me.

I was in Rockefeller plaza working on the 48th floor when the announcement came that it may have been pumped into the vents.

Of course it was an incredible overstatement but for a moment I felt what it was like to think you were going to die in the next few minutes.

Just a sinking stomach feeling and the thought of “****” :)

Everyone went and got Cipro but I just went home

And 99% of Chinese “students” are spies, the other 1% are spy support.

What in the h*ll is wrong with these people? They are truly demented. Psychotic, in fact.

My oncologist at M.D. Anderson is married to a Chinese National who also works for M.D. Anderson. Hope she isn’t involved in spying, but who knows.

Absolutely. Cut them off at the source. Never trust the red ChiComs.

As President Reagan used to say, “Trust. But verify.” LOL!
