Townhall morphed into Mother Jones so slowly I hardly noticed.
They seemed very conservative in the late 90s. I've seen it happen with other publications, so it must be a communist tactic.
National Review and Reason magazine, for example.
I read Townhall a couple days each week, mainly for Kurt Schlichter’s columns.
Sullum I’m familiar with from his articles for Reason years ago. For a libertarian, he’s not bad on most issues.
This is probably the worst piece I’ve read from him.
As for Townhall in general, I wouldn’t put it in the same class as Mother Jones, as you state. Any site that publishes Col. Schlichter hasn’t lost its conservative focus.
