US Orders Chinese Consulate in Houston to Close
Epoch Times ^ | 07/22/2020 | BY IVAN PENTCHOUKOV

Posted on 07/22/2020 8:24:50 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

The United States on July 22 said it ordered the Chinese consulate in Houston to close, according to State Department spokeswoman Morgan Ortagus.

“The United States will not tolerate the PRC’s violations of our sovereignty and intimidation of our people, just as we have not tolerated the PRC’s unfair trade practices, theft of American jobs, and other egregious behavior. President Trump insists on fairness and reciprocity in U.S.-China relations,” Ortagus said in a statement emailed to The Epoch Times.

“We have directed the closure of PRC consulate general Houston, in order to protect American intellectual property and Americans’ private information.”

Ortagus did not offer further details, but pointed to a pair of statements from the Vienna Convention which mandate diplomats to “respect the laws and regulations of the receiving state” and “have a duty not to interfere in the internal affairs of that state.”

China called the closure “an unprecedented escalation” and said it would retaliate if the United States did not revoke the order.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry said the United States gave it three days to close the consulate.

“The unilateral closure of China’s consulate general in Houston within a short period of time is an unprecedented escalation of its recent actions against China,” Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said.

“We urge the U.S. to immediately revoke this erroneous decision. Should it insist on going down this wrong path, China will react with firm countermeasures.”

Wang said the consulate is operating normally. He did not respond to questions about reports of documents being burned in the courtyard of the consulate. A video sent to a local news station and posted on social media showed several open fire pits in the courtyard and what appear to be consulate staff.

Yes that is the reality isnt it?

How would China start a war with us?

1st. Do as you stated. Insert a bio weapon within the enemy country.
2nd. Infiltrate and start civil unrest within that country.
3rd. Be aggressive by claiming territory and use security as an excuse.
4th. Quiet down your friends and have them prepare to start the conflict.
5th. Cyber warfare.
6th. Go for the win before you have to go to war. By using the enemies political system by using that systems greed and immorality to gain control.
7th. If the political thing fails. Then attack. By using your infiltrators to attack within that country. Remember that 911 just 19, or so, nearly brought this country to its knees.
8th. Bring the war by spreading the battle field out over a wide area of the globe.
9th. Go to war to take your populations minds off the disasters and problems at home. Blame the enemy for all of it through the use of false narratives. I.E. Global Warming.
10th. Destroy your enemies infrastructure. I.E. the Panama Canal, Ports..etc. They have already damaged the air service through the Bio Weapon.

How many of these have happened so far?

How would I-if I were a Chicom start the battle?

The infiltrators are here. Have them attack the strategic areas. Start forest fires, Pipelines, Rail systems. Ports Airports..etc. Massive riots and sniping within the strategic cities-Seattle, LA, Long Beach, San Diego, San Fran..etc.

Use the southern border. Send up armed militia through the southern border. Gain complete control over the Panama canal-they already own ports on both ends and own many ports within this country. Use the friendly south American countries to do as much mischief as they can.

Have N Korea attack south. While we are involved there, attack in the South China sea. Get a conflict going in the Islamic Countries and Africa. Move on Taiwan. Destroy the US Military bases in the Pacific.

Will they invade the USA? Depends on how many/much they have salted into Central America.

How can they supply? Depends on how much they have salted into Central America. As for food, they eat everything.

Remember this-neither the Red Chinese nor the Islamic Countries care for their population.

“why do they have a consulate in Houston?”

Massive spying/technology theft? Yes.

But also (apparently), massive influence operations, at the Federal, State and Local levels.

SecState Pompeo addressed this to the National Governors Association earlier this year: https://www.state.gov/u-s-states-and-the-china-competition/

No doubt the Chinese have a major push underway to effect November’s election - it is an existential issue for the communists.

This sudden closure should disrupt their daily routine a good bit.

SecState Pompeo to give a speech tomorrow at the Nixon Presidential Library.

ChiCom spying is a BIG problem in this country. High time it was dealt with seriously.

If Biden's elected he'll have Hunter look into the problem...

Pompeo's great...this is a serious warning - wrapped in humor... Thanks for the link Bo..

I was being invited to the U.S.-China Governors’ Collaboration Summit.

It was an event co-hosted by the National Governors Association and something called the Chinese People’s Association For Friendship and Foreign Countries. Sounds pretty harmless.

What the invitation did not say is that the group – the group I just mentioned – is the public face of the Chinese Communist Party’s official foreign influence agency, the United Front Work Department.

Now, I was lucky. I was familiar with that organization from my time as the director of the Central Intelligence Agency.

But it got me thinking.

How many of you made the link between that group and Chinese Communist Party officials?

What if you made a new friend while you were at that event?

What if your new friend asked you for introductions to other politically connected and powerful people?

What if your new friend offered to invest big money in your state, perhaps in your pension, in industries sensitive to our national security?

Thank you so much, I was wondering if there were uncovered plans for something specific this fall.. I wouldn’t be at all surprised with the other things that have happened in 2020...

I have the book Stealth War by General Spalding, he might discuss there as well. I haven’t been able to make myself read it though.

Thanks for the tip.

I heard someone mention Stealth War by Robert Spalding somewhere. I think I may add it to my already big backlog of reading. Sounds good.
