My brother taught pistol shooting at a range. He said that the ladies were the easiest to teach. One of his pupils had been told to buy a pistol and go to the range and learn to use it by the local police chief because she had been threatened by an ex-boy friend. Good advice; she came home and found him waiting for her in the kitchen with a butcher knife. She solved her problem permanently.
