I thought Democrats wanted to save Doug Jones. They had a chance to pit Doug Jones against Jeff Sessions but failed.
They just got the matchup that they wanted.

In the case of Tubby, there is the rape episode involving one of his players from the late 90s, and how he only suspended the guy from one game. What Jones and his crew will discover though...the court system charged the player with second-degree rape, and the player agreed to a misdemeanor situation....admitting guilt.
The player? Black. So this will put Jones into a unique position, when the legal system worked in favor of a black, and Jones wants to punish the coach for something that occurred 20 years ago. I don’t think it’ll work well.
