The Trump administration on Tuesday rescinded a policy that would have stripped visas from international students whose courses move exclusively online amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The move comes after the policy announcement last week sparked a flurry of litigation, beginning with a suit brought by Harvard and MIT, followed by California's public colleges and later a coalition of 17 states.

Judge Allison Burroughs, a federal district judge in Boston who was expected to preside over oral arguments in the Harvard-MIT case, made the surprise announcement at the beginning of the court proceedings Tuesday.

Well well.....Trump certainly shook up the Universities.....tsk tsk. Hit their pay day foreign student scam and showed us all, again, it’s all about the money not the students. Foreign students have to show they have the cash up front. That’s the colleges pay to play money.

It’s not just the schools that rely on that foreign money. It’s the landlords and business owners in all the college towns where these foreign students live.

That may be part of it but there is a ton of confusion on campuses right now for students as it is..and the ones that are almost finished with their degree plans..new students applying are delaying coming...as most of the hose countries do not have open embassies or the means to process their applications.
