I did a mental inventory recently of every black person I could legitimately consider my friend. Being in the military many years ago, I met many, although I have lost contact with 99% of my military friends, just through time and geography. Of my friends, all were male and all were married or living with white women.

Every single one, including the muslim guy (who was a sweetheart and very patriotic). Every single one. I had never made that connection before.

Met lots of black racist a-holes, too. They were quite numerous in the military, and untouchable when it came to discipline, even in the late 70s.
