Exactly. And it’s surprising that so many FReepers believe it IS law. One guy even “screamed”: “IT’S THE LAW!” I assumed that we all were smarter on this forum.
No; it isn’t the law — until a legislature passes a law.
Originally, Executive Orders (even at the Federal Level) applied only to the Executive Department. The Governor (Or President) is not a queen or king who can arbitrarily make law superseding real law merely be “deeming” some situation to be an emergency.
It's the leftist dream to control everything, including all the citizenry and what they do. They dream to have a centrally-controlled all-encompassing government.
An EO is meant to internally facilitate government's operations. But, if government is everything, there is no difference between internal and external - it's all internal, as external now becomes internal.
With that, there is the leftist justification for an EO for anything that a legislature could possibly do.
