Go for it, Biden! Announce that if elected, you’ll release 78,000 drug criminals!

Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.

Joy should spend some time in the court room and learn how many chances the drug offenders are given before they ever end up in prison.

Not that she'd ever let reality intrude on her stupid ideas.

Biden needs to take it to its logical conclusion and announce that on day one, he would abolish the entire federal prison system, release ALL prisoners, and immediately restore their voting rights!

I disagree that we should pardon all non-violent meth and heroin dealers.

Biden would only be able to pardon federal drug convictions, not state ones.

At some point the Antifa crowd is going to make a demand that all of the federal charges against statue topplers, police assaulters, and monument vandalized be dropped and if convictions obtained, perps pardoned on Biden’s first day in office if he is elected.

No matter how you feel about the “drug war” a blanket pardon for these criminals is a bad idea since a lot of them ARE Violent criminals but pleaded down to a lesser charge. You’d have to go through all of them separately to see which ones aren’t actually dangerous criminals.

Drug dealers should be executed.

Mystal is not sufficiently woke. Biden should announce that he will pardon all BIPOC non-violent drug criminals (black, indigenous or people of color). White drug criminals have already enjoyed a life of privilege.

Disturbingly, a lot of leftarian FReepers would agree with Joy Reid.

War on drugs has been a colossal failure. US has highest incarceration rate in world at 655/100k, more ODs than ever from fentanyl, heroin, Isotonitazene, cocaine, poly substances.
A big waste of money and no evidence that there’s less addiction or ODs. Prohibition always leads to more dangerous drugs and crime.
The only people benefiting the war on drugs are those running police state. Corrupt prosecutors, DEA, prisons, judges etc
