Mystal is not sufficiently woke. Biden should announce that he will pardon all BIPOC non-violent drug criminals (black, indigenous or people of color). White drug criminals have already enjoyed a life of privilege.
She probably knows, but she doesn’t care. This is an ethnic war, and her side can do no wrong.
People don’t realize that often violent gang members are put away for drug crimes, because that is when they how they get caught. Many of these “non-violent” drug offenders are rapists and murderers. Maybe they should move into Joy’s neighborhood if they are so peaceful.
Disturbingly, a lot of leftarian FReepers would agree with Joy Reid.
War on drugs has been a colossal failure. US has highest incarceration rate in world at 655/100k, more ODs than ever from fentanyl, heroin, Isotonitazene, cocaine, poly substances.
A big waste of money and no evidence that there’s less addiction or ODs. Prohibition always leads to more dangerous drugs and crime.
The only people benefiting the war on drugs are those running police state. Corrupt prosecutors, DEA, prisons, judges etc
