I see your point, but I think Trump’s actual position on these issues is that he is (mostly) in favor of gay rights while simultaneously being pro-life.
Everyone should have rights - even gay people!
Then again, employers should have the right to hire whoever they want.
Therein lies the problem: conservatives get accused of wanting to take away rights of gays - they don’t. They just want to protect the right to associate with, or hire people as they see fit.
So when President Trump supports gay rights - that’s a good thing - but I hope he also supports the right of people to not hire someone if they are gay - or annoying - or poorly dressed - or fat - or for any other reason!
