Demographics is destiny
I’ve said in other threads, I’ve heard nothing from the GA GOP Senate candidates that will make me vote for them. The elections where I will vote for chicken$h!t GA gop candidates because I am scared of the alternative are over. Perdue and Collins better start speaking up, or it will be a short trip for me at the polls this year.
Go to a Walmart in Savannah. You will see nothing different than any other similar sized city elsewhere in the country. Go to any small town in GA and you will see foreign nationals of dubious legal status.
“The South” is gone by and large due to blue state migration and immigration. Georgia is now 10% Hispanic. We’re now onto 2nd generation Hispanic adults in places like Atlanta and Nashville, too.
It was a historical anomaly that the electoral college and popular vote were not in agreement in 2016. The only question is when they go back in alignment in favor of Democrats: 2020, 2024, or after.
Nothing’s stopping you from getting involved and helping out unless of course you’re a never trumper sowing discord on free republic
VA transformed cause of government contractors moving to the northern part of the state outsource those contracts to the private sector and problem is solved also you light wanna actually compete in some districts in Virginia since the GOP didn’t field a candidate in 20 percent of the races

Yes, part of the changing demographics are the liberals from CA, NY, NJ and other liberal states running away from the high taxes and corruption they voted for and taking those same liberal values with them.
Atlanta is not Georgia..
Abrams is not an issue outside of Atlanta... neither are any others.. gone are the days when Atlanta called the state..

I have lived in Georgia for 33 years. It’s becoming apparent that the influx from NY and Chicago is eventually going to turn out wonderful state blue. We are moving to the N GA mountains where it will always remain conservative. I’ve had enough diversity to last a lifetime.

What is going on is the increasing demographic or ethnic block voting for Dems- that is the real story, not the myth of white liberals. they may run things but it is the ethnic vote that drives the Dems victories,
Without the block voting of African American’s (93% + for Dems+ and especially Hispanic Americans-approaching 70%,) CA would still be the state that elected Reagan governor and nationally the Dems would have a little over 100 seats and about 10-12 Senate seats. At Least Hispanics don’t vote 90% dems
Just look at the states won by Trump,he won 32 states but only 4 have a population of Hispanic voters over 13%. Clinton by contrast won 28 states and only 5 had a Hispanic population of under 13%.
In CA, the Hispanic Population is now about 40% (and yes fueled by illegal immigrants and higher birth rate )and African American 12%.
This demographic shift and resulting voting trend is what is going on in early stages in Nevada, AZ, Fl and now Texas . Colorado is now over 20% Hispanic and now a dem state, Nevada over 29% and voting solidly blue. Virginia is over 14% and rising. I believe this is why the dems are for illegal immigration-it gets them votes and power.
We need to address, I think Trump can and does, otherwise its like trying to win a basketball game where the other team gets to start with a 20 point lead so we cannot pretend we can win without Hispanics or fall for the “its just white liberals” myth or the entire country will be CA
