Cleveland Clinic cardiologists have seen a notable increase in cases of broken-heart syndrome during the coronavirus pandemic, indicating the psychological and emotional stress of the crisis is adversely affecting physical health.

Broken-heart syndrome, the colloquial name for stress cardiomyopathy, causes dysfunction or failure in the heart muscle. Patients experience symptoms similar to a heart attack, but usually do not have acutely blocked coronary arteries. Doctors commonly attribute it to psychological, social or emotional stress.

None of the patients with stress cardiomyopathy that the Clinic observed during the pandemic tested positive for COVID-19. This led researchers to conclude that stress is responsible for the rise in cases of broken-heart syndrome, according to the study published Thursday in the Journal of the American Medical Association.

My next-door neighbor of many years died of broken heart syndrome.

His wife of more than five decades passed away after a battle with cancer. He was never the same after that. I recall a couple of conversations across our porches where he just seemed lost and forlorn and no longer gave a damn.

He followed her to the grave after about six months.
After he died his daughter told me “Yeah, after Mom died he just kid of gave up. No wife, no life he would tell us.”

Shouldn’t we be blaming the Fake News and the Democrats for stressing people out?

That’s so sad.

We should all reach out to anyone we know who is in this situation.

Unemployment is at 1933 levels.People are scared.People are angry.Of course depression...excessive drinking...drug abuse...and suicide are gonna skyrocket. This virus was destined to kill many, directly or indirectly."Leaders"...most of them Rat Party operatives...decided to sacrifice millions of 40 and 50 year olds in order to save a few 85 year olds.

And,of course,in order to drive Trump out of office.

This is all straight out of Rules For Radicals...and the works of one Bill Ayers.
