A total of six authors have now canceled virtual events at the Free Library of Philadelphia after Black employees signed an open letter to administrators detailing complaints of being underpaid, facing routine racism, and lacking adequate protection from the coronavirus.

A very generous individual, Willie Washington has been donating thousands of masks to CPD.

“The city distributed thousands of bottles of “Safe-Tec” hand sanitizer to officers at roll calls Wednesday morning.
Some officers who thought the bottles looked old, contacted the company.
In an email obtained by WGN Investigates, a “Safe-Tec” sales manager said the hand sanitizer hasn’t been manufactured since 2012.”
