Ohio legislator urges residents to stop getting tested for coronavirus as cases rise in state

“Are you tired of living in a dictatorship yet?” Republican state Rep. Nino Vitale wrote in a post on Facebook Tuesday after Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, a Republican, announced the mask mandate. “This is what happens when people go crazy and get tested. STOP GETTING TESTED! It is giving the government an excuse to claim something is happening that is not happening at the magnitude they say it is happening.”

Vitale called into question why the new order wouldn’t go into effect until Wednesday evening, saying “if this is such an urgent matter, why wait almost 30 hours? They make no sense. Stop listening to these frauds.”

The new Ohio Department of Health order, which went into effect at 6:00 p.m., mandates face coverings in public in seven counties that are experiencing a very high exposure and spread of Covid-19.

The order extends to Butler, Cuyahoga, Franklin, Hamilton, Huron, Montgomery and Trumbull counties, which includes the state’s most populous cities, Columbus, Cincinnati and Cleveland.

The increasing number of cases are a good thing. As the death rate fall the isolation policies get harder to maintain. If the death rate remains low with the higher positive test results the whole quarantine rational falls apart.

My county is on the list because the increase in numbers is happening in the county jail. Seriously. We do most of our shopping and eating out at a neighboring county anyway.

The increasing number of cases is good news (as deaths are not increasing much)--if you actually follow the science.

The problem is that we now live in Bizarro World.

The quarantine rationale fell apart l9ng ago. The government is now just using masks as punishment.

Butler, Hamilton, and Montgomery counties have been a haven for Illegals going on decades now. We’re just seeing the summer border jumpers here.

I get what you are saying Gino but, the corollary here is that the mortality rate is being proven to be .05% and may be less than that.

We had dance venues that booked bands and put out schedules. They had to scramble to change their operating guidelines. Most canceled all dances till further notice. At least the police in Montgomery and Butler counties said they are not going to enforce the mask rule. Stubbs park in Centerville decided to adhere to th City of Dayton and cancelled their Summer Concert Series. I find it interesting that the City of Centerville allowed BLM to stage their protest march in Stubbs park several weeks ago, and won’t allow a concert to be staged. I suggested Centerville rename their program Summer Protest Series and put on the shows as planned. This is all so silly. I’m with the state rep on this one. Governor DeWine has gone too far this time.

Republican state Rep. Nino Vitale

I have been following him for a while.

I would love if he ran against DeWine in the primary 2022.

At the current time it is Republican Governors in three states: Arizona, Florida and Texas plus the Democrat in California whose daily release of statistics relative to new positive tests, new hospitalizations, percent of ICU beds available and COVID-related fatalities that damage the president’s reelection chances and constantly feed the 24 hour news cycle. Governors Ducey, DeSantis and Abbott should stop.
When it was just Democrat Governors doing the daily briefings, it helped the president. Those days are gone.

testing is a weapon being used against the President.

headlines over past 24 hours on BBC, ABC Australia and the rest of the FakeNewsMSM worldwide include -

surge of new covid infections in Florida; surge in Texas, surge in California, surge in Arizona, surge in US, clobbering Trump.

the impression given is that these are actually new sick people, when they are simply alleged positive test results from the only real surge - a surge in testing.
as millions more people have already been exposed to this virus, more testing will mean more positives and more weaponised FakeNewsMSM headlines:

seven writers:

New temporary testing sites to open in three hard-hit states
‘We are in the calm before the storm,’ USC professor says
The federal government is ramping up coronavirus testing in Louisiana, Texas and Florida, three states seeing a surge in Covid-19 infections, as health officials attempt to get a firm grasp on how the fast-moving pandemic is evolving.

Eight temporary testing sites will each perform as many as 5,000 free tests a day, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services said. Four sites opened Tuesday in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, while one in Edinburg, Texas, and three in Jacksonville, Florida, will open Wednesday. The sites will remain open for up to 12 days...

At the same time, infections keep climbing. New cases topped 10,000 in Texas for the first time, reaching 210,585, while in Florida, cases jumped 3.6% to 213,794. The U.S. total is approaching 3 million.
An increase in deaths will inevitably follow an increase in cases, but it will take several weeks to a month, according to Paula Cannon, a professor of molecular microbiology and immunology at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California...

I’m a 2 minute drive out of mask-requiring Cuyahoga County and into no-mask requiring Medina County.

All of my business will be conducted there until the mask requirement is lifted. Groceries, gas and home improvement purchases. Everything!

This country is teetering because of morons.
