Former Vice President Joe Biden released a set of policy recommendations on Wednesday that included a proposal to close the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) to oil and gas exploration and development.
ANWR was signed into law by President Jimmy Carter in 1980. But local biologists joked that Congress had confused ANWR with another large bloc of federal land in northern Alaska, the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska (NPR-A), because ANWR had more oil and NPR-A had more wildlife.

Ain’t nobody going to be drilling ANWR anytime soon anyway. Costless policy.

The policy change which would help Russia the most is reduction of our petroleum and natural gas production both through limitation on federal lands and methods of extraction like fracking. It would increase worldwide prices giving them more money, it would eliminate the possibility of exporting gas to Europe to prevent pipeline cutoff threats from Russia, and it would reduce their foreign policy expansion.
Now, who is Putin's puppet? Looks like Biden.

ANWR is about the size of SC and the amount that is being opened is about the size of the LA airport. Given where ANWR is, I don’t think we are hurting the general public by keeping it open exclusively for those who can afford to fly almost to the North Pole.-

That ship sailed under Bammy, his ridiculous increases in “environmental protections” for Alaska (pouring bottled water out on dirt was an environmental cleanup disaster), then the invention of fracking made drilling in the arctic ocean silly.
But Biden has as usual zero clue about real world issues. He is just tilting at windmills.

Given Joe's current cognitive condition, if the topic of ANWR comes up in a debate, he'll tell a story about how he was on a first-name basis with the former President of Egypt.

The Old Rip is really off his rocker lately.
He was absolutely incoherent today in Pennsylvania.
