Is this the same ‘supreme court’ that has done nothing to fix the FISA court?
I think republicans nation wide need to go on a ‘jury duty strike’.
Why support a court that ignores injustice they themselves are responsible for?

I would not want congress to have my tax returns because they would make endless abuse of my legitimate privacy. Same for Trump’s returns out of plain old fairness.

If there was anything criminal in those tax returns Obama’s IRS would have leaked them. This is going to be the world’s largest nothing burger.

Tell General Flynn that. They KNEW he was innocent, and not only framed him, but all-but-bankrupted him then threatened his son; all while withholding Brady material (which is supposed to result in automatic dismissal of charges if the material is enough to have swayed the outcome).

And despite that, AND both the defense and prosecution agreeing to drop the charges, AND a writ of mandamus from a higher court, the judge in the case STILL hasn't dismissed anything.

The legal experts at SCOTUSblog are painting both these as a win for the President. Even though he lost on the question of “blanket immunity” in state court, they ruling said there is a higher standard for Presidents and remanded back to the lower court for consideration under that standard. According to Amy Howe on Scotusblog the long and short of it, is it will be tied up in court for months if not years and could even end up back at the Supreme Court. IE there is certainly NOT going to be any tax records released before the 2020 election.

“Both cases have to go back to the lower courts where Trump’s defense team can make further arguments to defend.”

How did you arrive at that conclusion? It seemed clear to me the State of NY was entitled to the financial records but the Congress was not an it was this 2nd poart which was emanded to lower Court.

I believe the ruling on that question will come later today.

Its going back to the lower court and Trump team can make further arguments.

Effectively zero chance this will be resolved by the election.

The Supreme Court sends case back to Lower Court, arguments to continue. This is all a political prosecution. I won the Mueller Witch Hunt, and others, and now I have to keep fighting in a politically corrupt New York. Not fair to this Presidency or Administration!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 9, 2020

read the post above yours, #26. I don’t deny the courts said NY “can” get the records- if they make a legal case for obtaining the records. But it was sent back to the lower courts by SCOTUS- NY/Vance is getting nothing at this point.

You are all missing the point this is NOT about the election this about finding a crime to charge Trump with. This is a very bad day for America and Trump. You can be guaranteed that this will cause Trump to resign because they wil! Find something to charge him with.

What is it going to take for Americans to March on DC and burn it down? You are witnessing the deep state about to perform a coup. Keep watching your damn NASCAR and NFL buying your damn Nike shoes and Disney crap. We deserve what is coming.

Ok I read #26 and it seems clear but why does the actual USSC decision say the State of NY is entitled to the records and then say thr Congress is not.

What part of the “NY State is entitled” am I getting wrong?

We have a totally corrupt previous Administration, including a President and Vice President who spied on my campaign, AND GOT CAIGHT...and nothing happens to them. This crime was taking place even before my election, everyone knows it, and yet all are frozen stiff with fear....— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 9, 2020

....No Republican Senate Judiciary response, NO “JUSTICE”, NO FBI, NO NOTHING. Major horror show REPORTS on Comey & McCabe, guilty as hell, nothing happens. Catch Obama & Biden cold, nothing. A 3 year, $45,000,000 Mueller HOAX, failed - investigated everything....— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 9, 2020

....Won all against the Federal Government and the Democrats send everything to politically corrupt New York, which is falling apart with everyone leaving, to give it a second, third and fourth try. Now the Supreme Court gives a delay ruling that they would never have given...— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 9, 2020

....for another President. This is about PROSECUTORIAL MISCONDUCT. We catch the other side SPYING on my campaign, the biggest political crime and scandal in U.S. history, and NOTHING HAPPENS. But despite this, I have done more than any President in history in first 3 1/2 years!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 9, 2020

Wrong. The SCOTUS simply ruled on the viability of the charge, not the entitlement of the material. The case goes back to FDNY where it will continue to be litigated for months.

@SDNYnews Now that we have this SCOTUS ruling, when is the Clinton Foundation going to be investigated and their records subpoenaed by a Federal Grand Jury?— I Hate The Media 🇺🇸 (@ihatethemedia) July 9, 2020

Congress has been using taxpayer dollars to pay hush money. Who is investigating that?
