There’s no illegal immigration problem from Mexico. NAFTA solved all that by improving the Mexican economy so much that Mexicans stopped coming to the USA to look for work. I remember NAFTA proponents saying that would happen.

Those same folks also said capitalism, trade and membership in the WTO would turn the communist Chinese into freedom loving democrats.

Mexico’s president should be happy and ready for further cooperation.

I read that japanese car companies in Mexico decided that 16$/hr was cheaper than moving the entire factory to the USA, so they decided to keep their factories in Mexico, and to meet the USMCA agreement provisions, INCREASE THE WORKERS WAGES BY A FACTOR OR THREE!

Incredible. And even though the factory remains in Mexico, I think it is a win win. Workers will remain in Mexico and prosper. I hope it has a trickle down effect and raises wages elsewhere.
