Where is the Chaplain’s corps on this issue? It is outrageous.
My granddaughter USNA class of 2024 just reported to Annapolis.
A video prepared for parents stated that on Sunday plebes will be given opportunity to pursue religious services.
She is 100% right in each respect. These would have all been recognized guidelines when I was in the military;spelled out in our printed guides. This was some years ago & I think I would not volunteer for the military now, even if I could. I don’t know exactly where the military took this obvious left turn, but they seem to have done just that.
I served over 20+ years in the US Army. I was proud to serve back then when officers, NCOs, and enlisted all went to Chapel on Sundays. You actually had people pray. Even had meetings during the week at the post Chapels. Not today. It saddens me to what the military is doing and being asked to do. Civilians in the Pentagon who have nothing to do except on their collective fat asses in an office, making rules for people dying to protect the rights of this Republic. I could not serve today under all these stupid rules. I am a Christian FIRST. The nation comes second, not first in my life. I answer to GOD first, not the Pentagon or officers. I could not serve today. I am danged glad that GOD allowed me to serve then and not now. I would end up getting Courts-Martialed for running my mouth today. I would be telling them they could kiss my behind, that I was a Christian first, then the military. God, family, nation, then military. But there are much more important things than taking orders from a bunch of A-holes who are out for their selves.
