Benedict Arnold was also a true battle captain and probably the outstanding battlefield commander of the war. Washington and Greene had much deeper appreciation of the strategic side and were fine commanders who inspired the often uninspired to keep going. Arnold was simply a tiger on the battlefield, something akin to Phil Sheridan or Bedford Forrest.

Agreed and I believe what he did may have been from a principled perspective. However with his decision he became a traitor.
