Why didn't the faculty just vote to close the university?

Seems to me they want something for nothing. Why not put their money where their mouths are?
I don’t see how these guys could stand to work at a place with such a revolting name. Are they really that upset about the name? Or was it ok since they are all getting comfortable six figure paychecks annually to be a “slave” at that place????
But now, we have to be politically correct, above all else. Now they feel the need to make their political statement.
These aren’t particularly bright people. Critical thinking isn’t the left’s strong suit. It’s all about feelings.
