Unfortunately many people, especially younger ones, do not understand anything about business. Public schools and labor unions spread what you describe all the time.
About three years ago, I encouraged the owner to expand his customer base because we were the vast majority of his business and I told him that wasn't healthy. As a result, his business is still humming along even though we have hit a rough spot. Three years ago, we were about 80% of his business; today we are less than 20% because he took my advice.
I'm happy because we still have a financially viable and healthy supplier. He is happy because he has a much broader client base. It is what we call a win-win in business. Libtards never understand this.
