That was a mistake. Manners can be “hacked” by dishonest people. Pence had that done to him.
I remember several years ago someone wrote a parody of that book, called, “I’m O.K.—You Suck”. It was pretty funny, with both narcissistic self-aggrandizement and comically belittling and insulting others. It was described as a “Democratic Party Self-Help Guide For Idiots”.
