Morning Spokesshave....and all.....
Around 9pm last night dog is up and pacing all over the place. I get up to do some bathroom business and as I sit on the throne she comes over, sad eyes, sort of pleading.
I wonder what is wrong with her.
Well folks, the state of Delaware, controlled by King Carney, who knows all and everything and tells us how to live, banned all fireworks displays in the state of Delaware.
Heh.
THE PEOPLE IN THIS STATE WENT NUTS!!!
Now I’m not sure if I appreciated that most of Delaware went out last night and set off their own fireworks....in that my fine dog had absolutely no appreciation of a sky lit up for over an hour with the light of thousands of Delawareans setting off their own fireworks display.
I assured dog that all was well and indeed, Delaware flipped King Carney the bird and the whole sky lit up with the joy of it.
This is how it’s going, folks. Americans have had it.
These guys get to congregate , riot, and have three hour funerals. These guys in the church better not sing and spread their spray all over the church. These guys here can get a haircut because they are important but not these guys over here.
They all need to shut up.
Cause America is going to open up whether the politicos like it or not.
Dog Jackie might have different opinion.
Here in the liberal Seattle suburbs. It sounded like professional fireworks. Except they were all banned.
It was pretty impressive, but our dog didn’t like it. It never used to bother him, but now it does.
1:15 a.m. I almost got him out to go pee, then a “boom”. 2:30 it had finally calmed down enough that he was okay to go outside.
An adjacent FR thread shows LA metro lit it up big-time, too, despite Newsom & Garcetti.
Every neighborhood appeared to have their own celebration—all over the Southland.. Watch it from Sky5.

In my town, same thing happened with the fireworks, and a neighbor was a major contributor to the celebration. It was TOTALLY awesome.
But my little pooch, like yours, absolutely HATES fireworks, and for days after the 4th and New Year’s eve, does NOT want to leave the house to do his business. So last year I got some Acepromazinr—a sedative-type med—from my vet, and it REALLY helps keep my little guy calm and much less afraid to go outside. He is now, after his walk, resting peacefully curled up in a blanket on the couch.
