We can only see little sparks over the distant treeline from the fireworks on the Mall.
But someone in our neighborhood is blowing off huge chrysathemums much closer - so we’re getting SOME fireworks tonight.
Anyhow, the Moon is very orange-y beautiful, in the East.
And just like last night, Fox just ignored it altogether after the earlier flyovers.
OAN is very disappointing on this - and that’s unusual. They need to work on their cameras and angles for events like this.
Oan is great for me sorry it’s not working for you.
That’s much better - and I can see more action over the treeline of what seems to be the finale now...
OAN was fine for me in northern NJ, but now they have left it and are back in the studio. There is a park across a small woods where I live and every firecracker/rocket in the world is shooting off there. Glad we have no dogs who would be scared. Just cats who don’t give a hoot.

BTW, I just had the opportunity to see more of the event, including music and fireworks on OANN—with POTUS & FLOTUS watching from the Truman Balcony.
Finally, it was even more special to have my neighbors setting off their fireworks during this time.

I don’t know what was wrong with my OAN feed tonight - they are usually excellent for anything to do with Trump events. We just never saw anything focused - just sparks outside of the center of the fireworks.
Who knows...
Before it did a low level flyover, it went supersonic at about 70,000 feet. The sonic boom was somewhat disappointing. It sounded like a balloon popping.
But when it did the flyby, the crowd (estimated at about 100,000) was so silent it was eerie. It was AWE-SOME.
I'm not sure the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds have EVER done a tandem flyby each in formation but this one is for the record books!
Quite a departure from the days of Odunga when his White Hut was lit up in gay pride colors..

Yes, I enjoyed the encore very much. The President’s remarks were, as usual, right on target and the Golden Knights and the flyovers were awesome!
So thanks again.
And, yes, we are facing the loss of our Republic should the Demonrats win it all in November.....
And I don’t say that lightly.
