“...This Country fought a Civil War to end slavery...”

That’s a canard promulgated by government schools for decades in their brainwashing efforts.

The end of slavery was a byproduct of the Civil War...not the cause of it.

The election of Lincoln and the potential end of the democrat control of slavery WAS the cause of the war. No union troops had even been mobilized when SC seceded and fired the first shot. Stop being delusional.

Do tell us the history of the five years prior to the Civil War. What was the state of politics then and what was the main idea running through the nation’s newspapers at that time? Please tell us that you had non-public school ejumucation so that we might be enlightened on the specific canard that gobmint skools taught us.

Can you tell me who the Godfather of the Republican party is and what he founded? And what his beliefs were? Because this does tie into what you ascribe to as a canard being promulgated by gubnit skools.

Can you tell me the reason why the last remaining holdout states refused to ratify the US Constitution? Here let me give you a little hint: it wasn’t about crackers.

“The end of slavery was a byproduct of the Civil War...not the cause of it.”

Exactly. Research the proposed tariffs to economically hurt the South.
