A Texas soldier missing since April was killed by another soldier on the same military installation where they served, the lawyer for her family said Thursday.
Spc. Vanessa Guillen was killed April 22, the day of her disappearance, by Spc. Aaron David Robinson inside an armory room where she was working on Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas, attorney Natalie Khawam said during a news briefing.
Khawam said she met with officials with the Army Criminal Investigation Command who provided her with the information, the Army Times reported.

Both Guillen, who entered the Army in 2018 as a small arms repairer, and Robinson, also 20, were assigned to the 3rd Cavalry Regiment’s engineer squadron but were on different troops.
Guillen, who was promoted from private first class to specialist on Wednesday due to her time in service, was allegedly attacked with a hammer and dismembered with a machete.
Robinson allegedly had his married girlfriend, the estranged wife of a former Fort Hood soldier, help bury her "bloody body," Khawam said.
“At first they tried to set her on fire, but she wouldn’t burn," she told the Times. "Then they dismembered this beautiful U.S. soldier’s body with a machete.”

Partial human remains suspected to be Guillen were found Tuesday near the Leon River, about 26 miles east of the base. A medical examiner in Dallas still was working to identify the remains.

I have this weird feeling this has nothing to do with affairs or love. I may be wrong but I feel that Vanessa may have stumble upon a drug smuggling ring. Many said that Vanessa complained about sexual harassment but I do not believe her murder was due to that. I understand they found similar bodies on Fort Hood. Something nefarious is going on.
Killing somebody with a hammer and then dismember that person’s body...That is worthy of death penalty in my opinion...

Ms. Vanessa’s family got some justice when the killer chose to commit a suicide...
Such a horrific death and I cannot imagine her family reading or hearing in media circles that she was hacked and chopped to pieces.

Possible, still the military does administer regular urinalyses. Given their access to the arms room, there may be a repair parts diversion scheme (think AR-15 to M-16 conversion kits). That could also be a pretty lucrative off-post black market item, particularly in a state that borders Mexico.
The media will paint this as “the Army’s Fault”
And not the black killer or his black killer loving girlfriend. She could have ended this weeks ago.
The next question is, did the black guy also kill THE OTHER body found near Guillen’s?

Yeah, this murder had to do with something else. Could very well be drugs as that’s a big problem there. Eyebrow raising the other soldier’s body was found very close by.
Twenty-some years ago, I’d sometimes get called in to do work at Ft. Hood and would try any excuse to get out of it. Always got bad vibes from that place.

Good riddance to bad rubbish. He may not have had to face a courtroom or spend the rest of his life in prison but he’s burning in hell that much sooner and he’ll never be able to do this to someone else.
Evil monsters Chad and Lori Daybell killed her children and cut up her daughter, Tylee, and tried to burn her body more than once before giving up and burying her. How does anyone not know you can’t burn bodies to make them disappear?
No...she’s the ex-wife of Robinson who killed himself when police approached him.....She’s the one he called and then helped him dispose of the body. She’ll get at least 20 yrs for it.
The perp had a history of harassing/stalking/hitting on the victim. Most likely here we have a rape and the murder was an attempt to cover that up
I’m going to guess the ex-wife told the authorities where the body was.
